McCarthy, Valadao react to Congress passing $1.7 trillion spending omnibus bill

The $1.7 trillion dollar omnibus bill includes a provision aimed at making it harder to overturn a certified presidential election and a ban on TikTok on government devices, as well as approximately $45 billion dollars in emergency assistance to Ukraine and other NATO allies. But the bill was not without opposition. Notably, California Congressman Kevin McCarthy gave an impassioned 25-minute speech against the bill before the House vote.
