Gothic Revival Style Church Abandoned in Detroit, Michigan

Today, we are exploring this abandoned Gothic style church in Detroit opened in 1911 and closed in 2005. The church went abandoned after the reverend passed away. It was then locked up in legal battles over the reverend's estate. Its organ pipes were stolen and scrapped in the fall of 2009. A different church bought this one with plans to renovate and restore it. There was fresh wood inside the church. Some of the catwalk and ceiling has already been restored but much more work is required for this place to be saved.
