Stanford University has published an index of “harmful language” that it wants to eliminate from its websites and computer code, because the terms are ‘ableist, ageist or racist’. For example, the word “American” should be replaced with “U.S. citizen”, as American “often refers to people from the United States only, thereby insinuating that the US is the most important country in the Americas”.

But there is good news. This means we can drop that stupid, nonsensical, bizarre term “African American“.
