Avatar Meher Baba, believed by many to be the reincarnation of Jesus, Mohammad, Buddha, Zoroaster, Krishna and others, made His universal spiritual center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He visited His center 3 times in the 1950's and spent some time there recuperating from a traffic accident he called His "American Crucifixion." Steve Jameson, under the brush name of WODIN, tells several interesting stories of Baba's encounters with local inhabitants of the then small, folksy, coastal village of Myrtle Beach. These are stories almost no one has ever heard before. In his years operating a sign business working and living among the locals, Steve has met many locals who told him their private encounters with Meher Baba. These locals were never members of the "Baba Lover" community of followers who recognize Baba as the reincarnation of the Avatar and who moved from all over North America to live near the Meher Spiritual Center. As a result, few people have ever heard of the time Jesus came to Myrtle Beach and walked, unexpectedly, into the simple lives of the local folks at that time.
