A MEDEVAC or Medical Evacuation vehicle is clearly marked and falls under protected status Geneva Convention status as a noncombatant. Medevac vehicles normally carry specialized medical personnel and equipment and cannot carry crew-served weapons.

A CASEVAC vehicle is any unmarked non-specialized vehicle which is used to carry wounded.

Normally CASEVAC vehicles are not marked and have crew served weapons. One use of CASEVAC is to bring supplies to the battle and return with wounded.
