Hong Kong eases Covid curbs and announces end of ‘Leave Home Safe’ contact-tracing app

Hong Kong will scrap the use of its controversial “Leave Home Safe” app from December 14, 2022, and remove most restrictions on incoming travellers. Previously, all arriving passengers have been subject to pandemic curbs, which prevent them from entering venues including restaurants, gyms and beauty parlours during their first three days in the city.
