Random Rants: The REAL REASON Why Henry Cavill Won't Be An Elseworlds Superman

James Gunn, Head of DC Studios, had a decision to make when it came to his approach of rebooting the entire DC universe. And that decision included removing Henry Cavill as Superman.

But now we have come to learn that Elseworlds movies will also be in the mix, right alongside of Gunn's DCU. So that begs the question...if you are going to have Elseworlds films, why couldn't Henry Cavill complete his Superman trilogy right alongside of the DCU, like Matt Reeves and Todd Phillips will be doing for Batman and Joker franchises? The fans want it. Cavill wanted it. So what gives? The answer is actually very simple.
