Le duo comique Canadien-Français "Les Jérolas" vit le jour en 1955, avec l'auteur-compositeur-interprète Jérôme Lemay et l'humoriste-imitateur Jean Lapointe. Le duo tire son nom de la contraction des noms de ses deux membres, (JÉRÔ)me Lemay et Jean (LA)pointe. En très peu de temps, Les Jérolas connaissent un grand succès dans les boîtes du Québec et notamment dans les cabarets montréalais, les clubs et les salles de province. Le duo connaît un grand succès à l'échelle nationale et internationale, notamment aux États-Unis à l'émission de télévision The Ed Sullivan Show, et en France à l'Olympia De Paris.

The French-Canadian comedy duo "Les Jérolas" was born in 1955, with singer-songwriter Jérôme Lemay and comedian-impersonator Jean Lapointe. The duo takes its name from the contraction of the names of its two members, (JÉRÔ)me Lemay and Jean (LA)pointe. In a very short time, Les Jérolas enjoyed great success in clubs across Quebec, particularly in Montreal cabarets, clubs and provincial halls. The duo enjoyed great success nationally and internationally, notably in the United States on television, like The Ed Sullivan Show, and in France at the Olympia Of Paris.

He made money but it's ugly
