Neurotypical (NT) is a term used to refer to individuals who do not have any known neurological or mental health conditions. Neurotypicals are typically considered to be the majority of the population, and they represent the “standard” way of perceiving and interacting with the world. Neurotypicals experience the world in a typical fashion, and they are not subject to the same challenges that those with neurological or mental health difficulties experience. Neurotypicals are able to engage in activities, pursue friendships, and manage their emotions in a relatively typical way.
