“You Will Own nothing and be happy”, one of the 8 predictions by the World Economic Forum for the year 2030 also known as The Great Reset. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, makes the claim that the owning nothing part is already underway, but many people don’t even realize it. The Netflix account that you “own” not yours if you cancel your subscription. The books in your audible account that you “purchased” if access is taken away, they’re gone. In an Orwellian-type message to his followers, Hoskinson expresses that we are living in a world where we pay for access, not possessions we are subtly but surely moving toward an ‘own nothing’ society. And that blockchain is the only thing that can save us. Hoskinson understands that the advancement of technology will come with some risk and some inherent loss of freedoms but we must be careful how far this will go. And prepare for what’s coming.
