Real Estate TikTok NOT legit? Real Estate Brokerage keeps getting sued? Realtystream, Join me!

Tonight, we had a pretty good show. We started with the story of Stanford University writing that the word “American” is problematic. Is it? Maybe the intent was good but the result was bad. It’s not a nothing burger, but it isn’t exactly an Anti-American sentiment..

We moved on to some great tweets from Charlie Billelo, Liz Ann Sonders, and Darth Powell. Is the housing market just one huge ponzi scheme? National Association of Homebuilders confidence index is awful…does that portend to a severe downturn in the market?

Finally, we went over a few articles. From the National Association of Realtors, remarks by Lawrence Yun indicate that he does not believe there will be a repeat of the market crash from 2008. I do not share in his optimism, and I give specific rebuttals to the points he makes.

The second article from realtor.com asks the question of whether or not realty TikTok is legit. It’s an interesting question that is a little too open ended to really answer in a simple affirmative or negative. Are there hucksters, and fraudsters on TikTok? Of course! Should you make real estate decisions solely on their representation? Of course not.

Finally, more states have begun to sue MV Realty, a real estate brokerage out of Florida, with Pennsylvania and Massachusetts filing suit this week. Is MV Realty the worst real estate brokerage ever? I’m guessing no, but their practices are extremely disingenuous and definitely warrant further scrutiny by not only every state real estate commission in which they are licensed, but also the feds should definitely be looking at them.
