Looking like a huge flock of geese, this impressive video shows the US Air Force conducting an exercise with the Republic of Korea in formation.

The joint operation follows the deployment of US strategic bombers (B-52H) near the Korean Peninsula.

The exercise was conducted in the Korea Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) area southwest of Jeju Island, with US F-22 fighters and South Korean F-35 and F-15K fighters participating.

ROK (Republic of Korea) Ministry of National Defense said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: "U.S. Air Force F-22s stationed at Kadena Air Base in Japan deployed to Kunsan Air Base on December 20 (Tuesday) and will stay in Korea within this week to provide information on South Korean Air Force F-35As and North Korean nuclear and missile threats. Training will focus on strengthening response capabilities."

This combined air force exercise, which was conducted through close consultations between the ROK and US military authorities, improved interoperability between the ROK and the US and the ability to carry out combined operations.

The statement continued: "In particular, the deployment of the US strategic bomber (B-52H) and F-22 fighter jets was supported by the ROK and US Defense Ministers at the 54th ROK-US Security Consultative Meeting (SCM) on November 3.

"The ROK and the US will continue to strengthen the alliance's capabilities and posture, including extended deterrence, to further solidify the ROK-US alliance's combined defence posture against North Korean nuclear and missile threats. "
