Marriage is Honorable in All
Hebrews 13
Obj: that the brethren may have God-honoring family relationships
Intro: Summary of Chapter:
- practical advices to the church, but many are applicable to the family setting

Characteristics of an Honorable Marriage:
1. Love is Prevalent – v.1
a. Brotherly – equality in value
b. Continuing - “Life-time partner”
2. Blessing to those that are strangers – vv.2-3
a. Either soul-winners or in support of reaching the lost
b. Good testimony
3. Faithfulness to one another in purity is of utmost importance – v.4
a. Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
b. Matthew 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh
c. Defile – make unclean; spoil, stain; disregard the sacred character

“Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing , and obtaineth favor of the LORD” Prov. 18:22

Let us lead a God-honoring family relationships
