Morocco's World Cup heroes were given a royal welcome home on Tuesday when they were met by King Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Rabat after their historic tournament in Qatar.

The players and coach Walid Regragui were given Order of the Throne Wissams to mark their achievement in becoming the first African - and Arab - nation to reach the semi-finals at a World Cup.

Mothers of the players were also invited at the gathering which followed a huge welcome parade through the streets of Rabat from thousands of fans.
