Is the FBI Still Paying Best Buy Employees to Snoop on Customers? #shorts

A 2017 court case revealed that the FBI had been paying some Best Buy Geek Squad employees to search through customers computers brought in for repair and to forward any potentially illegal content to the FBI. The evidence in that case was thrown out by the judge for violating 4th Amendment protections against unreasonable searches.

Best Buy initially denied their employees were involved in this activity but later explained in a written statement that some employees had violated company policy by accepting payments from the FBI.
