Cat demands pets after I was away on a trip

I was away on a school trip for five days. When I got home, he immediately went on my lap and demanded pettings. If I don’t pet him, he usually headbutts my hand. When that doesn’t work, he begins to lick my hand and the final move is biting my hand. It’s never too hard, just a little nibble and the pain fades away quickly.
