Kungen kommer | The King is coming

Julens glada budskap. Emmanuel, Gud ibland oss. Att Ordet som var hos Gud och är Gud kom i mänsklig gestalt född som ett barn till att leva ibland oss och utföra det verk som Gud hade gett det till att utföra. I det att han visade Guds kärlek i aktion med sin död på korset för oss och att han uppstod igen. Nu är kungen vi väntar på och som snart kommer för att regera enligt Guds lag i rättfärdighet och i rättvisa.

1 Tim. 3:16 Och alla måste erkänna att gudsfruktans hemlighet är stor: Han uppenbarades i mänsklig gestalt, visades rättfärdig i Anden, sågs av änglarna, förkunnades bland folken, blev trodd i världen och togs upp till härligheten.

Heb. 1:1–3 Många gånger och på många sätt talade Gud i forna tider till våra fäder genom profeterna, men nu vid denna tids slut har han talat till oss genom sin son, som han har insatt till att ärva allting liksom han också har skapat världen genom honom. Och han, som är utstrålningen av Guds härlighet och en avbild av hans väsen och som bär upp allt med kraften i sitt ord, har renat oss från synden och sitter på Majestätets högra sida i höjden.

Jes. 9:6–7 Ty ett barn blir oss fött, en son blir oss given, och på hans skuldror skall herradömet vila, och hans namn skall vara: Underbar i råd, Väldig Gud, Evig fader, Fridsfurste. Så skall herradömet bli stort och friden utan ände över Davids tron och över hans rike. Så skall det befästas och stödjas med rätt och rättfärdighet, från nu och till evig tid. Herren Sebaots nitälskan skall göra detta.

Ps. 72:1–7 Gud, ge åt konungen dina lagar och din rättfärdighet åt konungasonen. Må han döma ditt folk med rättfärdighet och dina betryckta med rätt. Må bergen bära frid åt folket, så även höjderna, genom rättfärdighet. Må han skaffa rätt åt de betryckta i folket, må han frälsa de fattiga och krossa förtryckaren. Dig må man frukta, så länge solen varar, och så länge månen skiner, från släkte till släkte. Må han vara lik regnet som faller på ängen, lik en regnskur som vattnar jorden. I hans dagar må den rättfärdige blomstra, och stor frid råda, till dess ingen måne mer finns.

The good Christmas message. Emmanuel, God among us. That the Word that was with God and is God came as a man born as a child to live among us and do the work that God had given him to do. In that he showed God's love in action by dying on the cross for us and rising again. Now is the king we are waiting for and who will soon come to rule according to the law of God in righteousness and in justice.

1 Tim. 3:16 Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.

Heb. 1:1-3 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Isa. 9:6-7 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

Ps. 72:1-7 Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness. He will judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice. The mountains will bring prosperity to the people, the hills the fruit of righteousness. He will defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; he will crush the oppressor. He will endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations. He will be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth. In his days the righteous will flourish; prosperity will abound till the moon is no more.
