A man shot by the Reno Police Department in downtown Reno is a person of interest in the disappearance of a Virginia man, the Page County, Virginia, Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

Joshua Dee Bradford was last seen in the Luray, Virginia, area on Sept. 3, the Page County Sheriff’s Office said.

On Oct. 11, the Page County Sheriff’s Office said Marcus Lee Lewis was a person of interest in the disappearance of Bradford. It also got an arrest warrant charging Lewis with being an ex-felon, illegally possessing a weapon.

The Page County Sheriff’s Office said Lewis had ties to areas in Virginia and West Virginia.

The Sparks Police Department, which is handling the investigation of a shooting by Reno police officers, told the Page County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday night that Lewis was in custody in Reno after having been shot by officers.

“My investigation's division is working with Reno/Sparks Police and the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney as they continue to investigate the disappearance of Joshua Bradford,” Page County Sheriff Chad Cubbage said.
