Matthew 1:1-17 - The Genealogy of Jesus

What can you learn from a genealogy in the Bible? You might be surprised. We introduce our series in the gospel of Matthew in this sermon, discussing the gospels, synoptic problem (is it really a problem?), the author of the book of Matthew, and perhaps most importantly, what we can learn about who Jesus is as Matthew presents Him in the opening salvo of his gospel.
