Integrating components is hard. In fact, there are specialized defense contracting companies who's entire purpose is integrate foreign systems into military aircraft. Integrating NATO weapons into Warsaw Pact vehicles is not a trivial exercise.

Note to all of you DCS fans. Yes, I know the ejector rack connects with the hardpoint before it connects with the aircraft. Unfortunately, I only have a minute.
