I took @prestonlobliner to the gym early this morning to get some strength training done. Decided to test his 1rm on the hex-bar and it is 215lbs at 97lbs at 9 years old!

Form is great, no valgus, and in combination with soccer, wrestling and training multiple times a week at @legacyatcarbon , he will be DOMINANT on the line next football season. Preston eats quarterbacks for breakfast, running backs for lunch, and pizza for dinner.

Strength training PREVENTS injury. Think about it - if a kid can lift 200+ pounds with ZERO valgus or form breakdown, is he or she more or less likely to get injured than a kid who can’t even stand with proper posture?

In conjunction with other methodologies, strength training helps keep kids healthy and prevents season and career ending injury.

But DO NOT do this if you don’t know what you’re doing. Hire a good coach, and not some cookie cutter, garbage franchise, to help teach you and your child. If not in Franklin, TN, we offer week long packages at @legacyatcarbon to help teach you how to train your kids SAFELY to optimize their play and their life-long health!
