Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park

Mammoth Hot Springs is a large complex of hot springs on a hill of travertine adjacent to Fort Yellowstone and the Mammoth Hot Springs Historic District. Palette Spring is part of the complex and is, to my mind, the most dazzling hot spring in Yellowstone National Park. It appears at the end of the video. Palette Spring was created over eons on a hill of travertine terraces and has convoluted, almost brain-like surfaces populated by billions of multi-colored microorganisms called \"thermophiles.\"
