Yellowstone National Park Bison Encounter Part 1

We decided to pull over to take a break at a parking lot in Hayden Valley inside Yellowstone National Park. Suddenly a bison started walking towards our car. This Bison was many many feet away from us. This was not our first time inside Yellowstone National Park. We understand and respect all the safety rules when it comes to staying at least 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep, deer, moose, and coyotes, and 100 yards away from bears and wolves. However, this BISON decided to get “a taste” of our car. Prior to this trip, we were at a Salt Flat. We had no idea this was going to happen! Excuse my squealing, I (including my family) we got too excited (scared) at the same time. It was licking our car for almost an hour! We didn’t move our car until it was finished, for the safety of the Bison.
