Bikepacking the South Downs Way - (part 1 of 3) - The Bike Challenge

The South Downs Way is a long-distance trail running along the South Downs in southern England. The trail runs for 160 km from Winchester in Hampshire to Eastbourne in East Sussex, with about 4,150 m of ascent and descent.

It was a chill but hilly first day with decently smooth gravel, nice long descents, and only a single technical climb.
Our spirits were high and as we camped at Manor Farm for the night, we stacked a few really tasty supplies from their farm shop. Essential supplies for the days ahead.
We did not know what was going to happen next...
