The M1128 Mobile Gun System (MGS), based on the Canadian LAV III light-armored vehicle produced by General Dynamics Land Systems for the U.S. Army, is an eight-wheeled armored car of the Stryker armored fighting vehicle family that is equipped with a 105 mm tank gun.

The M8 Armored Gun System, the Army's proposed replacement for the M551 Sheridan light tank, was canceled in 1996, which led to the development of the MGS program.
