UFC Fight Pass Invitational 3 was not without controversy. #UFPI3 had an eight-man absolute tournament featuring recent No Gi Worlds standouts like Oliver Taza, last-minute swap in Luke Griffith, and Fight Pass mainstays like Mason Fowler competing for a $25,000 grand prize.

Buffeting the event were two super fights featuring both UFC and BJJ legends. ADCC Champ Gordon Ryan was taking on former UFC Fighter and BJJ legend Vinny Magalhães however, due to as of yet unknown medical issues (Weight cut, most likely) Vinny had to be replaced, and what a great replacement it was!

Nicky Rodriguez entered the chat.

Having previously been of the same Gym and versed each other not long ago at ADCC, I thought this would make for an interesting match and it sure did!
