Complete Church Service, Sunday, May 22, 2022. In this message Pastor Larry discusses the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist. This event is significant for two primary reasons: (1) By submitting to John's baptism Jesus was associating His ministry with John's and John was identifying Jesus as the Messiah spoken of by the Old Testament Prophets and for whom he was called to be the forerunner. (2) At Jesus' baptism we have revealed the unique triune nature of God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Understanding God's triunity is vital for understanding Jesus' relationship with His Father and the function of the Holy Spirit in the world.
