Mr. Freeze originally had over-the-shoulder restraints. For the 2002 season, the over-the-shoulder restraints were replaced with lap bar restraints.

The Mr. Freeze coasters, as well as The Chiller (Great Adventure), were intended to be the new coasters for the 1997 season at their respective parks (Over Texas & St. Louis). However, major technical issues with the LIM launch systems delayed their openings to 1998, The Chiller opened for one week in 1997 before closing until 1998 for the same issues.

For the 2012 season, the seating was reversed so riders face backward and the ride was renamed.
