MAHABHARATA – UNDERSTANDING ITS TRUE VEDIC MEANING

The great Indian epic Mahabharata has a wealth of tales in its expansive canon. One tale might include several stories inside it. Each individual narrative is, in and of itself, a source of information and fresh insight into numerous aspects of human existence, particularly management. The Mahabharata imparts wisdom to us via each and every one of its characters. It tells of the ills of gambling, the protective nature of a sibling relationship, the woes of the mother, the pain of children in broken families (as of Karna), the disastrous consequences of excessive sexuality, and it tells of inferiority complexes, devotion, truthfulness and honesty, valor, and pride.

It also tells of how events and situations can humble the mightiest of people. It talks of addressing the cunning with equal cleverness, of peace, of battle, and tactics, of human patience and how it wears out leading to breaching of rules (just like in the war.... as it becomes longer, more and more rules get violated, and baser and baser means get utilized).

It enlightens us about God, the cosmos, science, philosophy, social relationships, ethical standards, and norms of behavior applicable to a variety of circumstances. It discusses the need for tenacity and focus in the process of skill acquisition, as well as the challenges faced by women. The Mahabharata contains stories about politics, instructors, regular men and how they behave, bravery, cowardice, envy, charity, about deception, about murder, the truth, and how God works through mankind.

This book chronicles the history of ancient India, including all aspects of the country's social, political, and religious life during the time. This epic is filled with wondrous and profoundly illuminating narratives, songs, nursery tales, anecdotes, parables, discourses, and sayings. Some of these narratives include nursery tales.

It includes the illuminating accounts of great heroes, valiant warriors of great strength, intelligent intellectuals and philosophers, wise men and women, ascetics, and devoted spouses of chastity. The ancient method of political administration that was founded on the guiding concept of dharma is given an in-depth explanation in the portion of the Mahabharata known as Raja Dharma. The Vidura-Niti is a famous text on political ethics that was written in ancient India.
