Tornadoes destroy parts of Louisiana

At least two tornadoes touched down in New Iberia, Louisiana, on Wednesday, December 14, causing damage to structures across the city, according to local authorities.

In an update posted to Facebook, New Iberia Police Captain Leland Laseter reported no fatalities and said those with injuries were being treated at local hospitals. Laseter said a shelter and command post was established at New Iberia Senior High School for those displaced by the tornadoes.
