The 36th and final Rafale fighter plane was delivered to the Indian Air Force by France on December 15. This signifies the end of the delivery process for all the aircraft it had contracted for in a transaction worth more than Rs 60,000 crore in 2016. After receiving a brief mid-flight refueling from a UAE Air Force tanker aircraft, the aircraft has arrived in India. 35 of the 36 aircraft that India had agreed to purchase have already arrived and are based in Hashimara and Ambala.
