District 16 counties have 7 days to begin recount in state senate race

Under California law, any registered voter may request a recount. Because one of the candidates, David Shepard, has requested this recount, he and his team are responsible for covering the costs associated. The four counties included in District 16; Kern, Tulare, Kings, and Fresno, have 7 days after Shepard's request to begin the recount process.
