Support for the RMT strike with its own members seems to be going. Mick Lynch (who seems to think he is Bob Crow) makes a poor interview on BBC 4’s show Today. And the left wing middle class such as Owen Jones goes on YouTube trying to spin what he said into a win. I have posted the interview. Part of it Mick Lynch seems to be on about how bad the country is as if to suggest socialism (so if your a striker ask yourself if this is about pay or simply your being used to bring in some sort of socialist government). He then rather than answer the questions goes on a rant that the presenter is not asking the correct questions (darn that freedom of the press) and then claims the questions are some sort of right wing newspaper questions. Then on YouTube Owen jones in his vid claiming Mick Lynch destroys BBC bias (not being able or wanting to answer basic questions is not destroying anything or anyone) tries to suggest the BBC asks such questions because of some strange connection with some people to other people (sounds like some sort of conspiracy theory). One suspects that if TMT members listen to his interviews it is little wonder they have lost interest in the strikes. On top of that they must be seeing that the public is not supporting the strikes. On top of that it must be clear that like the strikes of the 1970’s that were unpopular that it kept conservatives in power for years, that this strike will keep Labour out of power. That said many will be wondering why Labour supported the coal minor strikes in the 1980’s yet today some want coal mines opened. The message being they they believe Mrs Thatcher was correct.
