Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's press conference following the Fed's December FOMC meeting and the expected hike to the fed funds rate. The market is expecting a 50 basis point rate hike in what many are calling the "Fed Pivot." At the press conference Powell will likely be pressed for details about future rate hikes and the unwinding of the Fed's balance sheet (quantitative tightening), inflation, and the ability of the Federal Reserve to engineer a "soft landing."
