Grimes: “if you think about it, AI is actually the fastest path to communism. So, if implemented correctly, AI could actually theoretically solve for abundance like we could totally get to a situation where nobody has to work, everybody is provided for, with a comfortable state of being. AI could do all the farming, weed out systematic corruption, thereby bringing us as close as possible to genuine equality.”

Grimes “Neurolace is sort of like, its basically a neuralink, because life imitates art, so she wakes up, and the opening scene is her memory has been uploaded by this neurolace, she’s been killed, and now she gets to choose a new body, and this AI is interfacing with her recorded memory in her neurolace, and helping her and being like “hello, you’re dead, but because you have neurolace, your memory is uploaded – do you want to choose a new body, and you’re going to be born here and start a new life”
(She must be explaining the meaning of one of her songs?)

Musk “You can also save your brain’s state, like in a video game, you could save state and restore that state into a biological being if you wanted to – you’d be a little different but you’re also a little different when you wake up in the morning from yesterday”

Grimes “The relationship with artificial super intelligence – it’s just, it’s like great”

Rogan “If someone does get a neuralink installed, what would take place?”
Musk “Well for version one of the device it would be basically implanted in your skull – take out a chunk of skull and put the neurolink device in there, insert the electro threads into the brain, stitch it up and then you wouldn’t even know that somebody has it”

Grimes “We are becoming cyborgs, like our brains have fundamentally changed, everyone who grew up with electronics; we are fundamentally different from previous homo sapiens. I call us homo techno, I think we have evolved into homo techno, which is like essentially a new species.”

Grimes “it’s not Utopia, but it’s a pretty good place – like mostly super intelligence and biological beings exist fairly in harmony, there’s not too much war, it’s like as close to equality as you can get, it’s like “approximately” a good future.”

Musk “there’s been a lot of breakthroughs on the medical front, particularly around the synthetic mRNA – you can basically do anything, with the synthetic RNA/DNA – it’s really like a computer program, so I think with enough effort, that’s not too crazy, you can probably stop aging, reverse it if you want, you can do anything – you can turn someone into a freaking butterfly if you want with the right DNA sequence.”
