My advice to get all your endorsements to drive a tractor trailer are still the same, after 6 years of doing this gig

Get everything if possible, hazmat, doubles, triples, tanker and then get your passport and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identity Card) to get in and out of ports on any seaboard.

You may never use some of them, but trying to get them after you start driving, and trying to make time to do that, will get rough.
