President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) participated, this Thursday morning (8), in the New Aspirants Declaration ceremony at the Air Force Academy (AFA) in Pirassununga (SP).

The aircraft with the presidential delegation landed on the runway of the AFA military base around 9:45 am.

The ceremony, which began around 10:00 am, marked the end of the four-year journey of the Anúbis group at Ninho das Águas and was the only public commitment on the president's agenda this Thursday.

This is the sixth time Bolsonaro attends a ceremony in the city during his term. In July of this year, he made his last visit to the city, also at an Air Force event.

Before the ceremony, Bolsonaro went to a group of supporters and, smiling, greeted them. The event ended at 11:15 am, with a presentation by the Smoke Squadron. The entourage left Pirassununga around 12:10 am bound for Brasília.

No pronouncement
The president has not made any pronouncements and has not made public statements since November 1, when he said he would abide by the Constitution and thanked him for the votes he received in the October 30 election, when he was defeated by Lula.

On December 5, Bolsonaro cried during an officer promotion ceremony in Brasília.

The New Aspirants declaration ceremony is considered the most important of the year at the AFA and marks the end of the four years of aviation, quartermaster and infantry courses.

At this Thursday's ceremony, 149 soldiers received their swords, of which 134 are men and 15 are women. Of these, 88 are aviators, 45 intendants and 16 infantry. Only three are foreigners, one Peruvian, one Senegalese and one Cape Verdean, considered friendly nations.

Bolsonaro was one of those invited to hand over the swords to the new aspirants.

After graduation, the Aspiring Aviators will go to Natal (RN), the Aspiring Intendants will go to Rio de Janeiro and the Aspiring Infantry will go to Lagoa Santa (MG), where they will specialize in the aviation for which they were assigned.
