Random Rants: George RR Martin - Why Is There So Much Hate On Popular Franchises?

Amazon's The Rings Of Power hasn't gotten off to a good start amongst many within the LOTR fanbase, even though no episodes have debuted yet. In a recent interview, Game Of Thrones author George R.R. Martin commented on the growing dissatisfaction of major fandoms within the world of popular entertainment, calling it "World War Two". He says he doesn't understand how people can call themselves "fans" of a popular franchise, but seemingly hate that franchise at the same time. George, it really isn't that hard to understand...let me break it down for you!
