Surprise Mulberries - 28May2022

A few years ago I wanted to create a relaxing space at the end of the yard under some trees. As we cleared away the under brush we discovered three Mulberry trees. There was no fruit on the trees. After researching I found that they don't like shady areas. We cleared back more of the overhang and thinned the leaves. This exposed more of the tree to sunlight. Today I was working in the yard and noticed small red berries on the Mulberry tree. If all works out I hope to make Mulberry preserve and a cobbler this year. So excited.
