Christmas stuffing so good you won't want the turkey

Christmas is coming and you'll be glad to know that I have a few recipes to come that are just perfect for the upcoming festivities.

This stuffing is amazing and has the best of both worlds, a simple cheap shop bought dry sage and onion mix, combined with sausage, onion, sage and apple to elevate it to another level.

Sausage sage and onion stuffing with chestnuts
Dried sage and onion stuffing mix or breadcrumb 210g / 7.5oz
Boiling water or stock 425ml / 0.9 pints
Diced white onion 1 large
Grated apples 2
Sage leaves 1 small bunch
Pork sausage meat 440g / 1Lb
Butter 40g / 1.5oz
Chestnuts 200g / 7oz
Salt and pepper to taste
