Trap Door 3d Day 3

The further I get into the project the more I realize that I have bitten off much more than I can chew. Still, I'm not a quitter and this will be a great exercise in learning.

Considering that 3 weeks ago I was a complete noob to 3d rendering I think my progress has been rapid.

Any comments, suggestions criticisms are greatly welcome. Please bear in mind that it is a work in progress - and I'm only on day 3.
