Canada: PM Justin Trudeau comments on the death of Liberal MP Jim Carr – December 12, 2022

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivers a statement on the death of Liberal MP and former cabinet minister Jim Carr at the age of 71. Carr entered politics in 1988 when he was elected to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly. First elected to the House of Commons in 2015, the Winnipeg MP had been fighting cancer since 2019. His death was announced in the House by fellow Winnipeg MP Kevin Lamoureux.
