When a Bald Eagle grabs a fish from the water, sometimes there is hardly a ripple. Other times, there's a "rooster tail" like a hydroplane racing boat. This animation shows the latter ... and on a beautiful winter morning at Coeur d'Alene Lake, Idaho to boot!

This frame animation is made from a 144-shot continuous burst shot at 30fps. The animation is roughly 6x slo-mo, but I slow it down even more around the point when the eagle grabs the fish so you can see more detail.
