Becker's Easy Eats Holiday Specials: Easy Fruit Cake

It's the holiday season, the time for family and friends to get together and share quality moments. Certainly, food is an integral part of the celebration, but cooking need not be stressful at all. My take of the holiday fruit cake is easy to make and totally scrumptious. You can choose to brush the finished product with alcohol if you wish, but this recipe is delicious as it is. Try it yourself!

EASY FRUIT CAKE

Ingredients:
200g brown sugar
1 cup water
55g butter
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp salt
250g mixed dried fruits (raisins, sultanas, cranberries, golden raisins)
2 eggs
180g all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
100g candied orange peel
