Two-time World Cup winner Ronaldo thinks Neymar will continue to play for Brazil after the forward said he couldn't "100 per cent guarantee" he would continue for his national team following Friday's surprise World Cup quarter-final defeat to Croatia.

The PSG striker admitted on social media on Saturday that he was "psychologically destroyed" and "paralyzed for 10 minutes" after the game which had seen him equal Pele's record of 77 goals for Brazil.

The 30-year-old made the breakthrough with his extra-time goal to give Brazil the lead in a tight match, but Bruno Petkovic's strike three minutes from time took the game to penalties which Brazil lost 4-2 before Neymar could take their fifth and final spot-kick.

Head coach Tite had already announced he would leave the team at the end of this World Cup and big foreign names such as Manchester City's Pep Guardiola, Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti and Roma's Jose Mourinho are already being linked with the vacant post with the "Selecao".
