We are searching around old abandoned graveyards and churches to see what coins, relics, and treasures were left behind. No, we will not be metal detecting inside the graveyards. Families in the 1700s and 1800s would commonly speed a lot of time around their neighborhood churches and graveyards as a way to spend time with loved ones that had passed on. While exploring this abandoned graveyard we located this rare open grave that was shocking at how deep it was. We made a police report in case this was not a natural occurrence and actually grave robbers. Also, get the county government to fill in the open hole. A cemetery with revolutionary war heroes and civil war heroes should be better maintained.
