Do you need to eat and carb load before the gym?

Most people will have an abundance of energy stored in their adipose tissue to last weeks of fasting/starvation, let alone a simple workout. If you're not hungry, then you don't need to eat, even if you're doing a big session the next day. Unless you are emaciated or have a medical condition, your fat stores will be more than adequate. In fact, I've always felt and performed better on an empty stomach.
