Did you know that flies will bother big cats the same way they do domestic animals? Although here at Big Cat Rescue we use fly traps and go to great lengths to remove anything that might draw flies there are still flies and the keepers work hard to ensure the cats are protected from fly strikes.

In this video, you can watch as the keepers try to distract a tiger named Jasmine so Afton can apply a product called SWAT to her ears to prevent flies from biting.
