Emily Blunt Is as Tired With the "Strong Female" in Hollywood More Than Anyone!

Emily Blunt, while out promoting her new series "The English," told a funny story about working with Tom Cruise on "Edge of Tomorrow." A lot of people would have taken the statement and twisted it into something it clearly wasn't, instead Blunt took the off-handed remark from the legendary Cruise and embodied "not being a pu$$y" to heart and made a great film out of it.

If you wanted to like her even more, how about dunking on the bland and generic sTrOnG fEmAlE archetype that is permeating Hollywood for the past decade or so. The most notable name to buck the trend of embracing the norm and submitting to the virtue signaling studio executives and instead advocating for interesting, insightful characters that don't have to be overt with their storytelling. Complex characters are memorable, a strong woman doesn't have to tell the audience she's strong either. Demonstrate, don't explicate.
