This Track was RECOVERED from one of my online archives, after a large majority of my original music and prohects were stolen.

this one is EXTREMELY Special to me!

i downloaded a hq .wav 16 bit audio file (lossless - original mix when rendered) and i did some very light downward compression, just to level out a few parts where the bells were really loud and resonant.

i topped off with a soft clipper directly on the channel bus, with a fast attack and release, and very slight ratio, and a medium ish threshold.

i cloned that channel, brought it down -3db, and applied an OTT setting to the cloned channel (multiband compressor), and i lowered the highs, brought down the settings to be really subtle, did the same for the mids sideband, but only half as much, turned the low almost all the way off, and set the low crossover frequency to 80hz. high crossover set to 8k. put the lows in mono and highs in slight stereo and mid/side blended. then lowered the volume -12 db to fit as a parallel track, leaving the entirety of my original mix, and so i get the benefits of the OTT crispness, separation of mids highs and lows, and still maintain my transients and all instrumentation. there were a lot of instruments in this one. many layers.

so after that, i put another compressor at less than 2:1, barely kicking in, very subtle just to smooth and glue any discrepanicies, and another limiter for the master, with levels already at unity at all gain stages, just so nothing gets lost like shimmer or transients.

i can't say for certain if the mix is what it should be but it's 99.99999% what i was going for!
